Tripping Ch Dual Function Arc Faults

Good morning, I have 2 cutler hammer arc fault breakers some times they trip together sometimes not, even when nothing is in use. From everything we have traced and dug into which seems to be everything on each circuit there is no crossing neutrals and the two circuits are not even in any of the boxes together. Any ideas? Thank you

If they are the old style, I’d replace them with the new kind that has trip codes.

Did one the other day and it showed internal failure. Lot quicker and easier than tearing into a house full of wiring, chasing a ghost.

No GF function with Eaton type CH AFCI.

Many General contractors use laborers that wont read OEM test procedures, or fault codes
Thank you, just replaced both breakers and will see if that solves it.
Many non-residential electricians on this forum wont read instructions, if WAG replacements, or getting answers on the internet is easier.

I believe the OP is an electrician, not a General Contractor. Nor is there any indication he sent a laborer to trouble shoot it.
Glad my observation's didn’t offend a fraternal order of internet electricians, much less an aspiring psychologist, who really does’t need the internet.

We have found that over torquing these breakers will cause nuisance tripping. Make sure you use a calibrated torquing screwdriver only and it will probably take care of the some of these problems. There were 15 in one panel that were over torqued and just loosing and re torquing to the proper manufacturer specified torque completely solved the issue.

Sorry, but I don't buy that!

It may be on poco side, I had older QO arc faults in my cabin that would randomly trip, four or five within seconds of each other. Turned out the poco had a loose connection at the transformer. They tightened it down, problem went away a couple of months, then returned. Poco came back, and replaced the lug on the transformer this time.
