Mechanical timer not working. We have power but the gears seem to be jammed up.

Right here.
Reminds me of an old work order in a factory maintenance department:
Work request: "Dead mouse in control panel"
Electrician's written repsonse on work order: "Dead mouse removed. Live mouse on order".

Looks like Geico's mascott.

A local university kept losing power in areas.
They had a board meeting with a stuffed squirel sitting in the middle of the table. Seems they we're crossing phases on the transformers.

Hey - I like the gecko! Much better than thier competors ads, not nearly as entertaining for something I wont buy from any of them. If I have to sit through it to watch TV - I would rather it be entertaining in the very least.

And I doubt it was one of the culprit squirrels.... Not much left when they do that. FYI for the .22 plinker crowd - not bad eatin'. You'd be surprized!

I could stand a mess of them right now with some rice & gravy & biscuits.

Believe it or not, a tech I once knew fixed these things by drilling a small hole in the gearcase and putting in lightweight oil.
I guess he then taped over the hole; I don't remember.
