Can anyone help me understand wire troughing size. I'm looking at table 312.6(B). My scenario: (2) 4" conduits with (6) 500's and (1) 1/0 in each 4", entering a trough through the side and exiting out the top. Am I correct in thinking my trough needs to be atleast 16" wide? Does the fill rating affect this size at all?

If I understand the layout, you would need a box 28 x 28 if the conduits are in the same row. (6 X 4 + 4)

Your referencing a box size, troughing size would be different wouldn't it? I was coming up with a trough that would be min. 16"W x 8"H. Not sure what the min. length would have to be but I would match my disconnect size which is 30".

If you are using the wireway to pull through, you must use the rules in 314.28 to size it. 376.23(B)
