We were going to run 3 sets of 3" pvc up the wall on outside of business and LB inside to go to some panels.
Owner now wants us to us a trough instead of LB's so they can run sheet metal around it. Do I have to use
a certain size for code, and if so, where do I find the size imfo.
Thx Ron

Art 376 (metal wireway) and Art 378 (nonmetallic wireways) would be your choices.
Those Articles will direct you to the appropriate dimension rules.

if they want something less fugly looking, i'd
find a 6" deep junction box, and run all of
them thru that. put the pipe on 1 5/8" strut,
and you need 8X the diameter of the pipe, so
the box needs to be 24" on the long side...

probably the only thing that will be available without
a lot of looking, is a 2' x 2' x 6" nema 3r j box. urethane
seal around it after mounting it, and it'll cover the holes
you are making thru the wall nicely, and give you more
pulling room than an LB, and look better than a gutter.

you also aren't going to find a 3R gutter that is waterproof
in a vertical position.

now, technically, you need 8X the conduit BETWEEN the
entrance and exit, so if your inspector is fussy, you will
need a 3' x 3' nema 3R, or if you want to use a 3' x 1' x 6"
box, you will need a nema 4x with a gasket, etc.

and a 3R box is a lot cheaper than a 4X box.
