Isolated ground receptacles installed in nonmetallic boxes must be covered with a nonmetallic faceplate because a metal faceplate cannot be grounded to the circuit equipment grounding conductor.

True or False?

The answer is given as True, but I answered False because of the "must" in the statement. I understand the exception to 406.2(D)(2) to mean we can use a metallic cover if the box contains a way to ground the faceplate. What do you all think?

"because a metal faceplate cannot be grounded to the circuit equipment grounding conductor."

I would answer true. The way I'm reading 406.2 (D)2 along with the exception , is that a metal faceplate may be used IF it has a path to the ground.

It's true. The metal faceplate is required to be grounded. This is not possible with an IG in a plastic box.
