TT Switch

Brain Freeze here; exactly what is a TT switch? I think it is shorthand for a motor disconnect switch. But does it have thermal overloads, or is it just a switch?

Can someone give me a Square D part number so I can see an example?

I am also not sure what the TT means while looking through SQ D's Selector Digest (not latest edition). Type T or FT 'Foundry Type' Class 9007 is a limit switch that spans 12 through 150 Amp range is the closest match in the Digest. The nominal Total-Travel operating data runs 81 thru 88 Deg in the Type TU range. rbj

Thanks for the reply, but a limit switch isn't what I was thinking of.

I saw a disconnect switch on a set of electrical drawings (produced by another company) that was labeled as a "TT" switch.

I thought it was a standard term that I had seen before. But after several searches, and only one reply to this thread, I guess TT isn't a standard shorthand term after all.
