Not T bar.
The spring was an accessory similar to the spring/chain for a storm door. I actually used one of those from Ace. IDR who the rest were from. My supplier got them for me.

On an OFs buss trip thru Michigan at the moment.

I'd probably go with a T-bar clip with threaded stud, and then use my imagination for what to attach to the stud as there would be a lot of possibilities from there.
