Infratech 240 volt heater describes a two pole heater being required to totally turn heater off. NEC require this ? Is it allowable to connect one hot directly to the heater and only one hot to be disconnected by a switch ?
I saw an old post on the forum siting 410.93 but that says "lampholders"
Thank you

Breaker lock-

FYI I have had 15-cadet two pole thermostats weld shut on me they last a year and 2 months- so don’t get cadet.
They were not overloaded the just served one heater everything
That’s crazy I’ve installed at least 20!over the last couple years no issues that I’m aware of

I also buy in bulk when I buy crap so maybe I got one bad batch and it just happened to me since I bought everything at once. One bad one is different than 20 bad ones so I’m that could be the issue.

Yeah, been using it for five years and just recently I’ve had problems
Their cadet so they suck anyway

Single poles aren’t a problem it’s something to do with the two poles
Yea they are cheap but most of the time when I’m wiring electric baseboard heat it’s because the customer wants to heat the area the cheapest way they can so that’s what they get lol
