two power levels in one cable

Dear all, and I hope you all are well during this incident which rises over the world.

But life goes on and I have a question regarding two power levels in a Class 1 Division 2 cable.

I need to wire a 7x 1 mm² cable with a circuit 230VAC and 24 VDC in one cable.

Is it allowed?

Stay healthy!

We cannot speak to your local codes in Germany, but here in the US the only requirement is that all conductors must have the same insulation at the highest voltage present.

That said, it's generally not a good idea to mix DC circuits into AC bundles because of possible induced voltages, unless the DC conductors have their own shields.

moreover, if the 24VDC is to use for sensitive instrument the possibility of noise interaction from the AC power source will cause disruption in signals.

I haven’t seen the new mc cable for dimming fixtures yet, but it may be shielded or not, it has 120/277 with 0-10 vdc in it. So apparently it’s doable.

Those dimming leads don't necessarily need to be class 2 circuit. They start at a unit that utilizes power and control - often poking out through the same entry, and end up at a control unit that utilizes both power and control leads - all in same box, hard to separate class 2 circuit properly when they do that (if it even is class 2 control).
