Two sources of power, same voltage

According to NEC Section 230, you can only have one service at a specific voltage into a building or structure. Is there anything similar for a service that is not a building or structure, e.g. an outdoor motor?

I would call it a structure

The NEC definition of structure is 'that which is built or constructed'

That will be cleared up in the 2017. The words "other than equipment" have been added to the end of the existing definition for the 2017 edition.

Well it's not 2017 and even if it was I bet a structure will be there to mount the equipment to.

Yes there will be a structure, but the electrical source(s) will not supply the structure...they will supply the equipment.

The OP is from a utility IMO all services serve the structure they are monted to.

By that logic, electrical sources never supply structures, they only supply equipment.

Well in this case it's is moot because it is equipment requiring power.

OP did not state the reason for two sources, which will be critical to an AHJ's decision to permit a second service.
