They can be 'concealed' they just have to be accessible.

I missed your distinction on this one.
Please present an example of being
"concealed and accessible at the same time".

I have used these on light duty circuits, exposed, accessible.
I don't trust the IDC (Insulation Displacement Connector), but it was a single light bulb circuit, patched onto the existing NM, where the NM was not cut or broken for this "attached" joint. It was a "T", with the original cable passing straight through.

Modular and Mobile homes are built on a construction line.
There are inspectors on the line. these splices are inspected when installed.

I don't know about Modular and Mobile home plants, but a company I used to work for wired Modular gas stations that were plant built, the inspections was done by the city, rough and final. The inspector was only on site for those two times.
