Type AWG wire, 105 degree C

I read in a heater manual, "If any original wiring as supplied with the heater must be replaced, it must be replaced with type AWG 105 degree C wire
or its equivalent except as indicated."

What is type AWG wire? Last I heard, that was American Wire Gauge? Maybe this is just a poor chinese translation or something? And, is 105 degree wire common?

I think they are talking about the white braided stuff. Common inside heaters. We used to use it in a foundry I worked in. IIRC it was Teflon insulation with a glass braid on the outside.
