Type of conductor in Class 1 Division 2 Hazardous location?

Is there a particular type of conductor that must be used in a Class 1 Division 2 hazardous location? Can I use THHN or XHHW? I'm looking at 2011 NEC Article 501.10 and it's not clear what wiring type I need here. It does not mention THHN or XHHW, so does that mean that that wiring type is prohibited?

You can use any Table 310.104[2011NEC] conductor as long as it is properly installed within in its own dry/damp/wet and other Art 300 restrictions and is part of a 501.10 (B) wiring method.

I prefer Type XHHW-2.
