Does the liquid tight flex metal conduit for connection of motors in C1D1 location require the metal sock webbing for certain locations?

Liquidtight Flexible Metal Conduit, is not permitted in a Class I, Division 1 location. You must use a "flexible coupling". As I recall a 12" length of 1/2" is over $100. It is also not very flexible, so you will need a longer length than you would use if you could use LFCMC.
