What year are you looking for? In 2023 what was in 250.24(C) was changed to 250.24(D)
Your book might also have a typo because "LINK" has this:
2023 NEC 250.24(D): The grounded conductor(s) shall be installed in accordance with 250.24(D)(1) through (D)(4).
2020 NEC 250.24(C) The grounded conductor(s) shall be installed in accordance with 250.24(C)(1) through (C)(4). 250.24(D) This conductor shall be sized in accordance with 250.66.
2017 NEC 250.24(C) The grounded conductor(s) shall be installed in accordance with 250.24(C)(1) through 250.24(C)(4). 250.24(D) This conductor shall be sized in accordance with 250.66.
