For UFAD (under floor air distribution systems) is there any special requirement for F.A. devices under a raised floor application? After searching local codes IBBC, NFPA, it appears as long as the equipment is "non-combustible" and or plenum rated it appears that there is no requirement for F.A. devices, I know in a computer room they are installed because of receptacles below the floor and different wiring methods allowed by article 645 but then come another whole list of requirements. If the units have duct detectors supply and return is anything else required? Just curious if anyone else has run into this issue and how they handled it.
