ufer ground

Hi,I have never installed a ufer ground before. I have read the code on it but am unclear on how to install it. Do you just stub up a piece of rebar up out of the footing to put your GEC too? Any help please. Thanks

Probably best to check with local AHJ.For along time the slab crew would stub a 20 ft piece of rebar out from under form boards and we would attach to it.We are now required to attach to rebar within the slab.The reason given was that the grading crews were damaging the stubbed rebar.Here the building inspector signs off the ufer inspection and notes which side and distance from corner.
