I am retired now, but while working my company installed Television Receivers in Hospital Patient Rooms through out the United States.
A cardinal rule was we could only install TVs in Hospital Patient Rooms that were listed under UL 1410, Someplace I read UL 1410 was upgraded to UL 1492.s
The listing required a 3 hospital approved prong plug, transformer type power supply, a pillow speaker socket for sound and channel change, and several other safety features.
Is this listing still current?
A friend recently told me a standard consumer TV could be used in a Hospital Patient Room. Is this true?
