UL or NRTL listed

I have a designer that has selected these lights to be installed for a retail Establishment.

i ca find no UL listing and have spoken with UL. UL has said they can not find the manufactures name. I called the manufacture to ask for the UL file number on the listing and was told they would have to get back to me this was last Thursday. I called mfg today and same thing yes they are UL and ETL listrd but no UL file number.

UL said the company name still does not show up in there data base. UL seemed very surprised that a company would have a UL listing and and ETL listing. I also have called ETL to inquire if this company is listed or not.

I will not install this until I am able to verify the mfg has any type of listing.

how do you handle things like this with GC, arch, designers, etc?

If it has an etl label then I install it unless there are red flags about the fixture. I would address the designer and tell her it is illegal for you to install these fixtures.

I have had them hire another ec to install them after I left. That really irks me.
