Ultra Thin Low Profile LED recessed lights??

I have searched around for information regarding this newer type of LED lighting hitting the market. And for condos with very limited clearance above ceiling skin, usually drywall and usually 7/8" hat channel for furring, these units would be ideal. Has anyone encountered any issues with a configuration of say (4) 11W LED lights (44Watts total) parallel wired together with #16-2 class 2 CMP? rated to a class 2 transformer under a cabinet not more than say 15ft away?

It seems to me that all these manufacturers are only listing the fixtures when paired with 'their' 'proprietary?' driver. Are there none that can be configured as described above that are also UL listed? Or have we not gotten that far with the technology yet?

When designing/installing the undercab tape light systems my local AHJ was mostly concerned with ensuring that the cable was "Class 2" rated from driver transformer to tape lights. But these new "panel lights" are new to me.

Thanks out to all of you guys!

I have not used the panels in the way you're describing, but I've used them several times.

And I sure have thought about scenarios similar to the hat channel. I don't know if they all operate with the same voltage because I've always used the privided drivers - 36 volts or so?

With the correct cable and access to the transformers I can't see an issue.

I'll probably get around to experimenting later this spring, after I experiment with some integrated v-shaped t8s
