Just wondering-
In an undercab lighting situation do you put the lights or the plug in the back? Why? Does it depend on what brand of supplies you are using?

Are you installing the receptacles under the upper cabinets? If so I would have them to the back and the light to the front.

Yes this is in regards to having both the lights and the plug mounted to the uppers..
I have installed them both ways. And have as of yet- not been able to decide which I prefer. I'll install them either way if the customer and/or designer have a preference.

With track 12 or something like that I think I like the lights up front and the plug in the back.
For something like a xenon enclosed fixture I find myself tending to be drawn to having the fixture in the back and have the plug up in front of it.
So I was just wanting other opinions on the matter.

I've generally mounted them on the front. However, some cabinets don't have the 1" recess at the bottom to hide the lights, so I put them towards the back.

I hate plugmold....I fought a piece the other day, on this type of installation, never could get it snapped together, then finally bent it.....jerked that stuff out and installed Wiremold 500 and box's with GFI's. I put it behind the zenon's, customer was happy so I was, I guess  haha....It was a really small kitchen remodel
