Underground Junction Box Sizing

Do underground junction boxes follow the guidelines required in NEC 314.28(A)(1) and (2)?
314.28: Pull and Junction Boxes and Conduit Bodies
314.28 (A) Minimum Size
314.28 (A) (1) Straight Pulls and (2) Angle or U Pulls
and 312.6(A) opposite removable cover

Two pairs of 2 inch PVC conduit will enter an underground j-box. Will distance between each pair of conduits follow the above NEC guidelines 314.28(A)(1) or (2) or possibly 312.6?
If the underground j-box is positioned in a way so that the conduit enter the j-box from the side or the corner, then should the size of the j-box should be sized accordingly?

IMHO a J-box is a J-box. Location is a different story...

Yes, Handhole enclosures (Underground junction boxes) must be sized in accordance wtih 314.28(A). See 314.30(A)
