Where can I find a good underground splice (less than 600V, 480V site lighting application), I was looking or something to put in a handhole for site lighting however everything I have seen has failed, Thomas and Betts makes a nice device called a quick seal multi splice insulator it looks like a big wire nut however you can only have two cables I am looking for something that can accept up to four cables in and out the bottom of the splice, but it needs to be re-usable, inspect able etc. I looked at resin filled but this appears to be an irreversible type splice. Just curious to what everyone else has used for an application like this.

Take a look at Tyco/Raychem GelCaps. For smaller wires you can get three sets of wires in a GelCap1. You use the larger GelCap 2, 3 or 4 for larger conductors. I have been using them for 3 phase 480 volt motors and really like them.

I have personally used polaris connectors, and they work well.
