Underground sweeps up into equipment?

I think I know the answer to this from reading the other sections on underground conduit routing and bending. But I'll ask the question anyway:

Are the sweeps up into the gear counted as part of your 4 allowable 90's?

If you do include these, doesn't that limit you to 180 degrees worth of turns in the underground run before you have to add a pull point?

Yes, sweeps count.

In actuallity if you take a pipe and slighly bend it to form a large circle and reattach it as a circle that would constitute 360 degrees of bends.There is nothing in the NEC that says there has to be 45`s , 90`s.etc.Just 360 degrees of bends.So if you have pipe that runs on a straight plane and then has 2 90`s 2 more are allowed.So keep your trench straight !!!!!!

Offsets also count, as I found out the hard way. We had to add C-condulets to a 3/4" EMT run, and they made pulling harder, not easier. Next time, no offsets! (if possible)
