Unfused service conductors

I have a set of unfused service conductors I need to install on remodeled commercial building. Their point of origin is a 750 kva transformer owned by the power company (GRU). The pipe will be a 2-1/2" PVC buried in the dirt. The conductors carry 3 phase 480v, 800 amp.
My question I believe pertains to nec section 230.6. I would like to emerge from the dirt for about 3-4 ft on the outside of the building and penetrate to the inside of the building via j-box or LB into the back of my MDP. Can these unfused service conductors have a j-box or LB with a removable cover? I can't find anything telling me this is against code. Please help.
 
Do you need to have a ct cabinet as well or does your utility have them in the transformer?
 
I got confused on MDP1 and MDP2. MDP1 is the 800A. This is the MDP2 I am talking about it is 250A sorry. I was running of memory last night when I started this thread. The 750 KVA transformer is pad mounted on site, so the secondaries would not concern the utilities (GRU). Thank you all for your input on this situation it is much appreciated.
 
I've only seen a couple 480 v line voltage meters in my career. Most are CT's. The POCO's where I worked wanted a disconnect ahead of the meter that they could lock out. I wouldn't want to pull a meter with that kind of potential load on it without being able to disconnect it.

All our 277/480 200 A and under services have line voltage. But our POCO has required a disconnect ahead of the meter since 1980

Most the rural POCO's don't require a line side disconnect around here. But then most them are on same pole as transformer and supply a single customer. If they are pulling the meter they get out their hot stick and pull the primary fuses before they pull the meter.

In cities and town's it will be more common to see line side disconnect required by POCO though, but only on 277/480 services for the most part.

If metering is before these junction boxes or conduit bodies POCO's typically don't care what you do. They can be picky when there is potential access to unmetered conductors though.

That is how it usually works. Some may still be particular to some extent all the way to the service disconnect. But in general once you leave the metering compartment they don't care what you do beyond that point. Hard to steal service on conductors that are metered.
