No such luck. Don says that the new UL standard just calls for a trouble light, not a self-trip. But the technology is progressing, that's good news. :)
 
There will be two versions of the new GFCI, but neither automatically disconnect the power to the receptacle. In one version, the device will lockout if the electronics fail, but only after you push the test button or their is a power failure. In the other type an LED will change from green to red if the electronics fail.
