Union Vs Non Union

I am in the union and me and my wife have been contemplating going to Florida to be closer to my parents. I don't make much money but the benefits are good, pension, annuity great health bennys etc. I guess a financial advisor might be best to talk to but I see it as taking a hit if I were to take a job non-union unless the pay was much higher and I'm not the type to "fake it til' you make it" so i would ask for what I'm worth. THanks.
