Is it required to ground the unused neutral bar, in a subpanel for a DELTA system?
No... it is neither required nor prohibited. FWIW, I would not just to prevent confusion. Is it required to ground the unused neutral bar, in a subpanel for a DELTA system?
makes a great place to land EGC's, I've even done that with wye systems where the neutral isn't going to be utilized.
kwired: I'm just trying to figure out how you do this. Do you then just install a jumper (bonding conductor) between the neutral bar and equipment ground bar? If yes, how do you size that jumper (bonding conductor)?
+1. Usually am not installing any equipment ground bars either, just put in the bonding jumper for the neutral assembly.Usually that jumper comes with the panelboard for applications where it is a service disconnect / main panel. If I need a wire jumper to use the unused neutral bar as an EGC in a subpanel, I'd based it off of Table 250.122 and match the main supply.
