Is article 702 applicable to the installation of a battery operated UPS system that will supply power to computers in the event of a power failure, and would a disconnecting means for this UPS system be required at the service equiptment or elsewhere?

I would ask is this UPS hardwired or cord and plug connected?
If it is hard wired there would be a breaker feeding the selector switch. The UPS would also need a disconnect on the UPS output back to the switch.
