USB charger outlet installation

I am installing a 4.8 amp output duplex usb charger and when i try to energize circuit at panel it keeps tripping. The outlet box has black white red and a ground wires. I connected the ground ok and the white to the silver screw and black and red to the brass screw but breaker keeps tripping.
Any assistance u can provide would be appreciated
