hello,
i'm a bit confused about the use of fuse in my solar panel.i have three panels of Short-Circuit Current (Isc) 6.46 A
each and i want to connect them in parallel and the max series fuse current is 20 A.So, i want to ask,do i need a fuse for them, and if i need a fuse then what will be its specification.
pls reply.......

Any time you have three or more panels or strings of panels you must use a fuse or circuit breaker which is smaller than or equal to the max series fuse size specified by the panel maker.
In this case you could use three 20A fuses, even though all three panels together will barely exceed that current.
You could also use a 15A fuse if you wish, and 10A would be pushing the short circuit current on a bright day with just the right cloud arrangement.

that means the max series fuse current is the deciding factor.so,if i connect two panels in parallel then i won't need a fuse......
Is my thinking correct on this?
