I tried posting this before, but it did not show up.....I wired a home that was gutted, had a second floor added and basement redone. During this process the street service was removed from the home and installed on a temporary post, as a temporary service. When the new service was done on the house, there was a delay (turned out to be three weeks) before the power company reconnected the street lines to the house. In the mean time the owners wanted to move in as the house was done. The contractor wanted me to run a line from the 't power' to the house and feed the panel. I refused beleiving it was illegal, and provided a generator set up instead. The AHJ told me later that I could have done it, and it would be safe.
Is there anything in the code that prohibits the use of 't power' to power a house panel? Looking for input.
