I am talking about the meters that the utilities have been removing and replacing with remote read types.

Cool, I had found Texas Meter and have them sending a quote, but I always like to have multiple sources.

The next one we are starting is just over 500 KW.

Bob, be careful. We send our meter out to have modules installed and reuse them. It is only the bad ones that we junk out, no we do not sell them. If other electric utilities sell their out of specifications meters, you do not want them.

One of the places listed here refurbishes and calibrates the meters, hopefully correctly.

Is there a governing body that verifies meters are accurate?....Like the Department of Weight and Measure?.....

The meters I have to use must meet two different ANSI requirements for accuracy.
