Using 1000V MC4 with 1500V modules

If 1500V modules are stringed in a way that the string voltage does not exceed 1000V, is it okay to use a 1000V MC4 with 1500V modules?

Just what are you referring to as 1500V "modules"?

Modules that are rated for 1500VDC as their maximum system voltage. (please see attached)

I don't see why not. After all, it's a MAX voltage rating, not a MIN voltage rating

Yes, you're right. Even after temperature correction, the max voltage is <1000VDC

There is nothing wrong in theory with this, but if you are mixing connectors from different manufacturers you can't do that. If the modules have 1,500V Stäubli MC4s and you have some 1,000V connectors made by someone else you want to use then you can't interconnect them.
