using #6 AL SEU for car charger

For a customer's 50 amp car charger circuit, I plan on using AL #6 SEU and change to #6 Cu at each end of the circuit. If I'm reading 310.15 (B) (16) correctly,, #6 AL will carry 50 amps. Is this acceptable ? Thank you
 
#6 Al 75C ampacity is 50A, looks good to me. Note that SE cable can't be installed underground in conduit.

EVSEs often specify "Cu conductors only," so I can see why you'd need to change to Cu (which could be #8) at the load end, but why change at the breaker?
