We’re putting in a 400a service on a residential property and it’s impossible to find a single phase 400a meter can. Has anyone used a 3 phase meter can to feed a 200a outside panel and an outside 200a disconnect feeding the inside panel?

I’ve done this numerous times with a single phase meter can and double lugs but never with a 3 phase meter can. I’m thinking you’d just leave the center lug empty.

Ask the power company.

That’s ridiculously expensive.

That’s the cost of doing business in the current environment. If you need it right now, it’s going to cost far more than usual.

We have several projects delaying their start date because of the 9/mo lead time on gear.

I just bid a large multi-family project and the lead time to fulfill the meter center order was almost 400 days.
