I want to protect a utility trnasformer with pad from traffic with pipe bollards. Is there any ruling on how far this pipe bollard can be from a transformer?

Thanks for your answer.

If its the POCO's transformer then they will have standards for you to follow.
If its your transformer then look at section 110.26 in the NEC. The clearance is determined by the voltage.

You need to check on the size also. We require 6" Galvanized pipe or conduit, 7' long set 3' deep in concrete and filled with concrete. These posts are to be set 1' off the corners of the pad in both directions away from the corners of the pad to allow full access to the transformer which will be smaller than the pad. Check out the drawings in our Goldbook. :D
