Hey guys trying to make sure im doing this calc correctly. If im trying to find cm I take 2x12.9 x length x amperage then divide that total by 5%. Am I correct in my understanding? In a hypotheritical equation I would take 25.8 x 500ft x30a = then divide by .o5 Is this correct?

Divide by the voltage times 5%.

3 phase copper:
cmil=1.732*12.9*amps*length/(voltage*0.05)

1 phase copper:
cmil=2*12.9*amps*length/(voltage*0.05)
