I just put in a panel in my new workshop and need to start running lines out of the top of the panel (see picture below). Do I need to secure the NM cable anywhere in the space between between the top of the panel and the top plate of the wall and, if so, how? It is only a 3 feet run and I have 1 inch holes already drilled thru the top plate. Eventually I will have about a dozen lines coming up and that seems to be too many to attach to standoffs along the left and right studs. I was just going to staple the lines to a couple of pieces of 3/4 plywood I attached between the studs but then started thinking twice aout this. Do not be alarmed by the white wire going along the top plate in the picture. It is just a temporary gararge door remote control line.
