I find it fun to practice ohms law every chance I get.
I did some rounding.
When testing I always try to double check math questions.

Not trying to prove you wrong, just having fun and showing others different approaches when it comes to solving questions.

I recently ran into a simpler issue and they did not understand the math. So when they were done we load tested. And they were shocked how the math worked. They had so much voltage drop the circuit worked on a 20 amp breaker and #12. The down side voltage at the plug ended up at 104 volts. This load shared a recp with a computer terminal.
When they listened the amp draw ended up 26 amps and volt drop to 118 .Ya they ended up running 30 amp circuits with VD in mind. The also decided the computer may need to be on a different cir.
This was a 110 rated piece of equipment. When ever a piece of equipment they say is 110 and comes with no plug it's a red flag and I check it out.

Iā€™ve now seen a couple of Vevor products, they are all C3 (thanks for that term by the way, Ragin Cajun) not listed by any NRTL and their manuals SUCK because they are poorly translated directly from Chinese with no context as to how technical terms work. That probably explains the ā€œair switchā€ reference, which from previous experience with C3 products is just their interpretation of circuit breaker. Looking at the FAQs for this, it does NOT come with a cord and plug, so their repeated insistence on an air switch is their way of saying this is a hard wire device.

I find it hard to believe it is rated for BOTH 115V and 230V at the same kW. Iā€™d bet that at best, they rated it at 230V and if you connect it to 115V, you will get 1/4 the kW output.

OK, sorry, I misread something. This is NOT rated for dual voltages, it is 110V only. I downloaded the manual, itā€™s as bad as Iā€™ve seen. I personally would not connect this in any commercial environment, the potential liability will be horrendous.

People need to learn to ask about NRTL listings BEFORE buying this C3 stuff on lineā€¦
