Need a hint on what parameter(s) needs to be set in order for drive on a submersible well to ramp up just a bit before shut down when pressure has been maintained for x amount of time. This allows the drive to shutdown and "sleep" until pressure drops below y. No sense in having the pump run if it isn't moving adequate water for cooling the motor. I have done this before but don't remember which drive or what parameter.

Fire away with info for whatever drives you use because something may ring a bell.

A few years ago I did not think I would see to many of these but have worked on 4 different brands in the last three days. I also didn't think I would work on motors when I was forced to take a motor rewind course in school.

ABB ACS-550 drives have this feature for sure, but I don't know about the lower end versions but maybe the ACS-350, Yaskawa drives do as well if memory serves me (been a long time now since I used one). Schneider ATV71 drives are supposed to have it, but I could not make it work once and I know a lot about drives. Siemens MicroMaster has it, but again, a complex manual makes it difficult to implement unless you have had training. I believe Danfoss drives have that feature too, but I have never used one.

In the ABB drives, the setup and implementation is the easiest I have ever seen. It has an application macro that steps you through the process right from the front screen.
