Good evening, can anyone that has taken the masters exam lately give me any helpful info regarding this exam? I heard it is extremely code based with a few calculations. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks, Jason.

I took it back in january 2013. Very code based. Focused a lot on finding exceptions to rules to really make sure you understand how to apply the code. Multistep problems too. To find an answer you have to have one section refer you to another then to another. Some motor feeder/OCP questions that require careful math. Also, know how to size a service using standard and optional method.

I just took mine two weeks ago. It is 90% straight out of the code book. On my test I had to figure the service size using the optional method. I thought after studying hard with Mike Holts study material that the test was actually easy and passed on my first try. Good luck if you study you shouldn't have a problem with it.
