Does anyone know if you have to calculate voltage drop for neatral conductor I have a situation where I am considering running a urd triplex cable with a reduced neutral and have calculated the voltage drop for the hot legs but will the reduced size of my neutral effect the voltage drop? Does anyone know if it is against code in massachusetts to use triplex or urd with reduced neutral?

Voltage drop is based on calculated load. Now the maximum possible neutral load is quite likely different from (less than) the ungrounded conductor load since some loads are not "neutral utilizing" loads (120V or 277V). So in most cases, the reduced neutral will not affect the sizing of your triplex cable. But, to be sure, it would be a good ideal to check it!
