If that was the question in its entirety, you do exactly as post #2 says. You guys read way to much into a simple question.

We don't know the the type of load, so there is that. But you are correct, that can happen depending on the load type.

My point was and is that there was no mention of altering or replacing the load to suit the new voltage in the question, but answers were given that would require such a change in order to be correct.

Of course, I understand the mathematical responses that had to presume such a change was made, in order to keep the power of the load as the constant. I say that's an incorrect presumption to make.
