What is a safe temperature for a driver to be in an attic when it's IC rated? I bought a bunch of "wafer" lights on amazon. They're ETL Listed and "Conforms to UL STD 1598" but the drivers are getting to 125 degrees Fahrenheit. What temp is too hot to put in an attic?
I'm testing a Juno model right now attached in to one of the amazon lights to see what temps they get to. The juno driver is not as hot as the amazon, BUT the back of the LED itself is just over 100 Degrees Fahrenheit.
Is there a temperature guide for what's safe? Thanks! -John
