Wall fixture cut in boxes used in ceilings

I dont have the 2014 but read the 2017, so 314.23 (C) is stating that a fan rated box is required if prewired. Yes that actually applies to a lot of homes here in texas because fans are very common. Great article to call out those that try to skimp on minimums
Which I have felt ever since introducing this that it goes against what is mentioned in 90.1.

Might be good design decision but should not be a requirement.

Item #838169Model #MSBST250
This is same style as blue one but is rated for up to 50lb fixture in ceiling and recommended for smoke alarms

Ive seen these at big orange, Ive tried to find cut sheets on what they are listed to support and crickets nothing. You have any details? Heres cut sheet from Home Depots site that says 6lbs (though on product description it says "50lbs". Theres no way in heck you could support 50lbs from 1/2 gypsum board in a typical residential home legitimately.

Same box but without the snap clamp - says rated for up to 50 pound ceiling or wall fixture (bottom mount). Kind of presume that bottom mount means if you put mounting screws through the knockout holes in the back wall of the box and into some sort of structural member?
