You would need to read the spec sheet. Some require shielded twisted pairs, but it's never just 'telephone' cable.

Ok I meant cat 5 or 6 or I guess shielded TWP. But that is for telephone which I am asking does it need one of those lines as well as cable(fire alarm circuit) to the FACP or DGP etc.? What i am asking is do they always get a cable or cables for telephone and one for fire alarm whatever they may be in the spec? Thanks.

Typically just a single pair F/A cable, as mentioned the vendor might require shielded cable.

Ok thanks just did not think the phone function communicated over f/a cables

Usually they are driven by a telephone zone card in the voice portion of the fire alarm/voice evac panel. They may, depending on the spec and/or AHJ requirements, have to be wired using circuit integrity cable.
