Tom or someone from the the state of Washington answer me this please, have a friend who wants to know.

What are the state regulations for LV work and how does one get the License. For example a trade school, union apprentiship, minimum hours, test, etc.

Well, I read that web page and it is not clear to me. I have a Masters license in the State of Michigan.

If I were to move to WA., what would I have to do to become licensed there?

You have to either live in a state that reciprocates with WA for certification, or if certified else where, that can be used as proof of experience, or if in a state that does not have certified electricians, submit pay records, etc,
Once you have the required documentation, then you are approved to take the exam.
Go for an 01 Journeyman Electrician if you can. An 06 is more limited on the scope of work allowed.

For a Limited Energy Certification, 06, it requires 4,000 hours
In WA electricians are certified and contractors are licensed.
To be a contractor you have to have someone who is either an adminstrator or a master. These are WA certifications and a michigan master is not the same as a WA master.

By the way I am from Cereal City, Battle Creek, Michigan

Thanks Tom,

I am satisfied to stay here in MI near Ann Arbor. We've already lost too much talent.....not that I have much, but a lot of talent has left here. :D
