:oops: How do you put the receptacle in? hahaha
You break that off the plate and slide it over the yoke of the duplex receptacle. this allows you to use top and bottom screws to hold the device in the cover sufficiently. It is a code violation to only use the middle screw when a device is secured to the cover only.

I always want to see a middle screw. Otherwise it looks like it's missing.

I was doing a job walk in the city of Atlanta when that new code was in effect. I noticed the RS covers on site were the old single hole style. Called the project manager and told him we needed the new style sent out before they got installed. Project manager ignored me. Yep, inspection failed, had to change out every one of them under about 20 register stands!
