I love it. For years I also said that the saying was "I thought I made a mistake but I was wrong". Didn't realize I was saying it incorrectly but since I am never wrong I guess I was right anyway.

...

And, FWIW, I'm currently probably in the same time zone as you.
GA.
Welcome back

(Assuming this is not your first visit to this side of the pond.)

Nonetheless, had no effect on the time I awoke nor my error.

Right or wrong is only measured by what we think.

In some cities, in the heat of the summer, they drop the voltage in an attempt to reduce power consumption, since a lot of load traditionally was resistive (lighting etc).
But the more likely modern result is increased current to A/C units until their undervoltage relays time them offline. :(
Dupe.....

Thank you, and no, not the first by a long chalk.
I think the first was around 1975 to Anaheim to visit an electric motor manufacturer. At 370Hz and 1344 HP, it was a bit special. The application was for wind tunnel testing.

Apologies mods - I digress.

For installation at NASA, Ames?

It was for an aircraft research facility in the UK.
There were actually two motors mounted on the same axis.
They were testing a new version of a turbo prop arrangement. There were different modes of operation. Synchronous, asynchronous and counter rotation of the twin rotors. A bit special for 40 years ago and something of a design challenge.

Sorry mods - rather a digression.
